What is the Excellence & Ambition Academy?
The Excellence & Ambition Academy is a structured, progressive programme that supports students throughout their secondary education. It is designed to go beyond the classroom, helping young people develop the skills, confidence and mindset they need to thrive in education, work and life.
Aligned with our Trust vision of “excellence and ambition for all”, the Academy focuses on developing well-rounded individuals who are ready to succeed academically, socially and personally.
Our focus areas
Through the Excellence & Ambition Academy, students are supported to:
- Develop essential life skills that prepare them for adulthood
- Access experiences that may otherwise be out of reach
- Challenge themselves and step outside their comfort zone
- Look after their mental health and wellbeing
- Give back to their community and support local and national charities
- Raise aspirations and broaden horizons for future pathways
- A journey from Year 7 to Year 11
The Academy offers a rich programme of opportunities across every year group, including wellbeing activities, leadership development, financial education, community engagement, enrichment experiences and aspiration-raising events such as college, university and career encounters.
From mental health awareness and volunteering, to enterprise challenges, sports leadership and work experience, students are encouraged to aim high, get involved and take pride in their achievements throughout their school journey
