Excellence & Wellbeing: INSET Day 2026
What a fantastic Trust-wide INSET day it’s been!
On Monday 5th January, colleagues from across our Trust came together for a truly inspiring day that reflected our shared commitment to professional development and the wellbeing of our people.
Our CPD programme offered a rich and varied range of sessions for both teaching and support staff, including:
Adaptive Teaching and SEND with Jude Macdonald
Youth Mental Health Awareness with MHFA England
Everyday Activism in Education with Lucia Albanese
Race, Racism and Response in Education with Stop Hate UK
Reframing the conversation around masculinity with White Ribbon UK
These powerful sessions deepened understanding, strengthened inclusive practice and reinforced our collective focus on achieving excellent outcomes for students across the Trust.
Alongside this, it was brilliant to see such a strong and dedicated focus on wellbeing for support staff. Colleagues had the chance to pause, reset and recharge through activities including a Sound Bath with Harmony with Hope Therapy, Financial Wellbeing sessions, Pilates, Mindfulness Crafts and a walk around the local historic area.
This balance of professional learning and wellbeing felt like the perfect way to welcome everyone back after the Christmas break and set the tone for the year ahead as we continue to deliver Excellence and Ambition for All.
A huge thank you to all of our speakers and wellbeing providers for making the day such a success and to our colleagues across the Trust for the energy, engagement and positivity you brought throughout the day.
